About This Role
DESERT SPRINGS CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN is hiring for a support staff member role in Phoenix. Compensation is $18 – $21.50/Hr. Candidates need a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Seeking an experienced Kindergarten Teacher to establish a nurturing learning environment, promote student development, and provide a balanced curriculum. This position requires a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, fostering a love of learning in students, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve educational goals.
Minimum in school hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 12:30 pm
Ideal availability: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 2:30pm

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Establish a structured yet flexible classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to reach students with different needs and learning styles.
- Teach essential skills such as reading, writing, and numeracy, as well as social and emotional skills.
- Lead students through hands-on activities and experiments that promote learning and discovery.
- Engage students in literacy and numeracy activities, including reading, writing, and arithmetic exercises.
- Provide guidance and support to students who require extra help or have special needs.
- Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
- Prepare and maintain a well-organized classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
- Develop and implement programs to address the social, emotional, and physical needs of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional programs.
- Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and needs.
- Use a variety of instructional materials and technologies to enhance student learning.
- Plan and lead activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Establish clear expectations and rules to maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment.
- Meet with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and develop plans to support student learning.
- Use a range of teaching methods to engage students and promote learning, including demonstrations, hands-on activities, and technology integration.
- Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student learning and progress.
- Prepare and administer standardized tests to assess student knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement programs that promote student learning and development.
- Develop and maintain accurate and complete student records.
- Attend professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Participate in staff meetings and committee work to contribute to school-wide initiatives.
- Manage classroom materials and resources to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively.
- Supervise and assist students during activities, including recess, meals, and extracurricular events.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and motivation.
- Use data and assessments to inform instruction and adjust teaching practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to build a supportive and inclusive classroom community.
- Plan and implement programs to promote student social, emotional, and physical development.
- Develop and implement strategies to address student behavior and classroom management issues.
- Use technology to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Develop and implement programs to promote student literacy and numeracy skills.
Requirements
- BSc degree in education or relevant license/certificate
- A genuine love for children and families
