What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement a range of activities and lessons that cater to the needs of children, promoting their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Model leadership skills by setting an example and coaching the teaching team to achieve success.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that actively engage children and promote their growth and development.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents through various channels, including informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensure that the center's policies and state regulations are upheld at all times.
  • Establish a healthy and safe classroom environment, adhering to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Supervise teacher assistants, ensuring they adhere to planned activities, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Accurately maintain records, forms, and files.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to maintain a high level of quality and expertise.

Requirements

  • Must clear full background check and must pass fingerprint screening.
  • Infant/child CPR certification.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
  • We are willing to work with the applicant to obtain the minimum educational requirements.
  • Associate's Degree in early childhood education or the non credit based: Introduction to the Child Care Profession, Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Teacher and Fundamentals of Infant & Toddler Care.
