Cub Care Children's Center is hiring for a support staff member role in Vestal. Compensation is $16 – $16.75/Hr. Candidates need the appropriate background.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Cub Care Cafeteria Staff team in a part-time position. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Site Director, Assistant Director, and Teaching Teams to maintain a high-quality program that adheres to OCFS regulations and provides a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our students.
Available positions are now through June and are expected to return in August. This part-time role is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and requires a commitment of 25 hours per week.

What You'll Do
- Culinary duties include serving snacks and lunch to students under the guidance of classroom teachers and assistants.
- Daily meal preparations involve collecting student lunch counts, accurately accounting for each meal, and contacting the school district to place snack and milk orders.
- Maintaining accurate inventory and ordering of milk and snacks with the school district is a critical aspect of this role.
- Setting up and cleaning tables before and after each meal, as well as general daily cleaning and sanitizing of the kitchen area, is essential.
- Responsible for sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash and recycling, and ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and dining area.
- Culinary staff are also responsible for ordering food inventory and ensuring compliance with state regulations regarding food handling and safety.
- As part of this team, you will participate in regular training sessions and be responsible for maintaining confidentiality regarding the operations of the facility, staff members, and families.
- In the event of accidents or incidents, you will be expected to report them to the Site Director and ensure that all necessary protocols are followed.
- Maintaining accurate records, attending training sessions, and staying up-to-date on state regulations regarding childcare centers are also critical responsibilities.
