About This Role
Creative Starts Learning Center is hiring for a support staff member role in Oxford. Compensation is $18.50 – $23/Hr. Candidates need completed early childhood education (ECE) college credits.

We're looking for dedicated Head Teachers who will inspire young learners through interactive educational experiences. This includes designing and guiding a curriculum that incorporates arts, crafts, storytelling sessions, and engaging class outings.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children, ensuring their physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs are met.
- Plan and execute activities that foster a safe, clean, and well-organized classroom environment.
- Provide constant supervision of children and establish routines that promote positive guidance.
- Develop open lines of communication with parents, discussing their child's development and progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Applicant must hold a Connecticut Head Teacher Certificate or will complete 12+ credits in Early Childhood Education.
- At least 1 year of experience working with children is required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education is strongly preferred.
- Ability to effectively work with diverse staff and parents is essential.
- Possess a passion for teaching, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
- CPR / First Aid certification is mandatory.
Nice to Have
Nice to Have:
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Experience working with children with special needs.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
- Advanced certification in first aid or CPR.
