Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. (CIFC) is currently seeking dedicated and passionate full-time, full-year Early Head Start Teachers to join our team at Danbury Early Learning Programs.

About This Role: As an Infant / Toddler Early Head Start Teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating engaging and stimulating activities that promote the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of our infants and toddlers, aged 6 weeks to 3 years.

What You'll Do
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement weekly lesson plans tailored to the needs of a classroom of 8 infants (2-20 months old) or 8 toddlers (18-36 months old).
- Collaborate with a co-teacher to support the learning and development of each student.
- Receive comprehensive support for students and families from a classroom aid and Family Advocate.
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum support and coaching from education coaches, enhancing the learning experience for both students and staff.
- Leverage the expertise of a dedicated team of service area specialists, including early childhood education, social services, behavioral health, disabilities, and health.
- Utilize Teaching Strategies Gold and Creative Curriculum to document observations and track student progress.
- Enhance language development through the application of LENA technology.
- Maintain open communication with parents through Procare Software and Remind messaging.
Requirements
License/Certification:
- Ability to pass the State of CT Office of Early Childhood Background Check process (BCIS)
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Psychology (Preferred)
- CDA Certification or 12 College Credits in Early Childhood Education (Required)
- Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged.
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
