Join our team at Chroma Early Learning Academy as a Lead Childcare Teacher, where you'll be responsible for creating a dynamic, engaging, and supportive learning environment for young children. This role involves designing and implementing curriculum that fosters cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth, while ensuring a safe and inclusive classroom setting. As a leader and mentor, you'll supervise and support assistant staff, manage daily classroom operations, and maintain open communication with families about children's progress and needs. What You'll Do
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment aligned with Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards to ensure children's well-being.
- Support the implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, communication, and gross motor development, in line with the school's goals.
- Observe and document children's developmental milestones, sharing progress and needs with families in a regular and timely manner.
- Follow all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation to maintain a healthy and secure environment for children.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training required for Quality Rated compliance to stay up-to-date with best practices.
- Assist the Assistant Teacher in the daily care of the children in the classroom, providing a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to Pass a Background Check
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Ability to meet all requirements under Georgia’s Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
- CDA,TCC, or Paraprofessional certificate Required
- Passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children.
Nice to Have
While not a requirement, a minimum of 1 year of teaching or childcare experience would be a valuable asset in this role.
