What You'll Do
- Developing engaging daily routines that cater to the unique interests and needs of each child and the group
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order
- Establishing and enforcing policies and procedures, including guidelines for discipline and behavior
- Planning and scheduling regular activities and events to promote learning and development
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments through ongoing professional education and training, and contributing to the evaluation and improvement of program goals and objectives
- Designing and implementing activities that meet the diverse needs of children, promoting their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth
- Fostering an inclusive classroom environment that encourages parent participation and collaboration
- Providing access to necessary resources and activities
- Ensuring the safety and supervision of all children at all times
- Engaging with parents to discuss their child's progress and development
- Implementing positive discipline techniques to promote social and emotional development
- Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development
- Creating a secure and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and valued
- Incorporating children with special needs in a respectful and inclusive manner
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a center-based setting
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Knowledge of ELDS or DOTS
- Knowledge of NAEYC accreditation a plus
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood
- Provide 3 professional references
Nice to Have
We welcome applicants with additional qualifications and experience in areas such as: knowledge of the NAEYC accreditation process, understanding of ELDS or DOTS, and experience working with children from diverse backgrounds.
