What You'll Do

  • Prepare engaging lesson plans and activities that foster children's curiosity and creativity.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Teach essential skills, such as literacy, numeracy, and social skills, through play-based learning and interactive activities.
  • Maintain a well-organized and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Develop positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community.
  • Assess and document children's progress, identifying areas of strength and need for additional support.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure seamless transitions and shared goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of all children.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education, participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Plan educational activities to meet the needs of students.
  • Provide for the basic needs of children.

  • Read to students and lead group discussions.
  • Monitor student performance and adjust instruction accordingly.

  • Discuss problems or issues with supervisors and develop solutions.
  • Discuss student progress with parents or guardians and provide recommendations for continued growth.
  • Display student work and celebrate their achievements.
  • Attend training sessions or professional meetings to develop or maintain professional knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with other teaching professionals to develop and implement educational programs.
  • Supervise student research or internship work and provide guidance and support.
  • Serve on institutional or departmental committees and contribute to decision-making processes.
  • Distribute instructional or library materials and resources to support student learning.
  • Assist students with special educational needs and provide accommodations as needed.
  • Administer tests to assess educational needs or progress and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop strategies or programs for students with special needs and provide ongoing support.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • CPR/First Aid certification and experience working with children.
  • Proficiency in educational technology, lesson planning software, or Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Imagination and creativity in the classroom, with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
