Carriage House Preschool is seeking a compassionate and dependable Classroom Assistant to join our team, creating a positive, engaging learning environment for students. Located within a clinical ABA program for young children with autism, our preschool promotes full immersion and collaborative support.

What You'll Do
- Join our team to create a positive, engaging learning environment for our students
- Help establish a nurturing, patient, and inclusive atmosphere for young children
- Work closely with the lead teacher to implement daily classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment to support children's learning and development
- Supervise children during meals, rest periods, and playtime
- Support children's social, emotional, and educational growth
- Assist children with basic self-care tasks
- Monitor attendance and assist with student check-in and dismissal procedures
- Develop strong relationships with families and colleagues
Requirements
- Must provide a tuberculosis (TB) test or screening certificate
- Must pass background and registry checks with no disqualifying criminal convictions or abuse findings
- Reliable daily transportation to and from work required
- Must have a valid Social Security number or work permit if not a U.S. citizen
- Ability to understand and follow simple instructions
- Basic recordkeeping skills required
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma/GED, or 16+ with proof of current school enrollment
Nice to Have
Must be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience in early childhood education
Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities a plus
Certification or coursework in early childhood education or a related field highly valued
