The Assistant Teacher joins a collaborative teaching team, working together to coordinate the curriculum and day-to-day classroom operations. To create a safe and engaging environment, Teachers must be aware of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Effective communication with children and adults is essential to meet children's needs and address parental concerns.

What You'll Do
- Implement and coordinate educational curriculum and classroom activities aligned with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Assist in designing individual and group activities that stimulate children's social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Maintain regular communications with parents through informal discussions and updates.
- Ensure adherence to all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain a healthy classroom environment, adhering to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Supervise college students and volunteers to ensure they follow planned activities and safety standards.
- Manage accurate records, forms, and files with attention to detail.
- Utilize the Brightwheel software application daily, with training provided.
Requirements
- Must clear a full background check.
- A strong understanding of child development is essential.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification is required (must obtain within 90 days of employment).
- High energy and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and parents to foster a positive team environment.
- Requirements include frequent walking, kneeling, bending, or squatting as part of the position.
- Must obtain Health and Safety Orientation Training within 90 days of employment.
