Bethel Child Development Center is hiring for a support staff member role in Hampton. Compensation is $13 – $15/Hr. Candidates need the appropriate background.

What You'll Do
- Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with developmental milestones by developing and implementing them.
- Create a stimulating and interactive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth by fostering it.
- Meet the diverse needs of children by using a variety of instructional techniques.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Establish and enforce rules and procedures to promote a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and address individual and group behaviors to address conflicts and promote a harmonious learning environment.
Child Development:
- Observe and assess each child’s development to provide feedback to parents and guardians, and to inform individualized learning plans.
- Implement individualized learning plans for children with specific needs to support their development.
- Encourage social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through various activities and play to promote overall child growth.
Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
- Provide regular updates on children’s progress, including daily reports and scheduled parent-teacher conferences, to keep parents informed.
- Address parental concerns and inquiries in a professional and timely manner to resolve issues promptly.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive teaching environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to stay current and improve practice.
- Mentor and guide assistant teachers and support staff to help them grow and develop in their roles.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance, incidents, and developmental progress to ensure compliance and accountability.
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Assist with enrollment processes and other administrative tasks as needed to support the center’s operations.
Requirements
CDA/High School Diploma / Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a daycare or early childhood education setting.
Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
Proficient in using educational technology and classroom management tools.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
Pass a background check

Experience with classroom management software and technology integration
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
State certification in Early Childhood Education
2+ years of experience working with children with special needs
