Best Beginnings Early Learning Schools is hiring for a support staff member role in Chattanooga. Compensation is $14.50 – $16.50/Hr. Candidates need the appropriate background.
The Teacher will be instrumental in driving the educational journey of our children, fostering a nurturing and engaging environment that sparks curiosity and growth. Key to this role is the ability to balance day-to-day operations with long-term curriculum planning, ensuring our children receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for success. Effective communication, both with children and adults, is crucial to meeting the unique needs of each child, guiding teaching assistants, and addressing parental concerns.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs, incorporating best practices in early childhood education.
- Establish a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere by modeling excellent behavior and promoting teamwork among staff.
- Create engaging and interactive activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in children.
- Keep parents informed through regular updates, progress reports, and conferences, addressing their questions and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our children.
- Oversee the daily activities of teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they are following established protocols and standards.
- Maintain accurate and organized records, files, and documentation.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional child care or daycare experience.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Associate’s Degree is a plus.
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
