Amici Trilingual Montessori is an esteemed preschool in Ahwatukee, Phoenix, Arizona. We adopt the Montessori philosophy and full Language Immersion to foster young children's cognitive, emotional, and social development. Our school focuses on teaching children to read, write, and speak in the world's most spoken languages, including Mandarin, Spanish, and English.
We utilize a comprehensive curriculum that incorporates the Montessori method, along with a Chinese and Hispanic multicultural curriculum that includes language, vocabulary, songs, art, and music.
We are seeking a highly skilled Spanish-speaking Infant Montessori teacher to join our team at Amici Trilingual Montessori in Phoenix, Arizona. Our Montessori approach encourages independence, self-motivation, and decision-making skills in children, while our teachers and teaching teams celebrate diversity and use culturally responsive and positive discipline techniques.
Your goals as a Certified Lead Montessori Teacher will include helping children to:
- Develop social and emotional skills by fostering positive relationships with peers, teachers, and families.
- Build positive self-concept and confidence by embracing students' culture and utilizing positive discipline techniques.
- Enhance intellectual and cognitive abilities through correct and respectful use of Montessori materials and developmentally appropriate materials.
- Foster creative abilities and fine motor skills through art exploration, music enjoyment, and sensory activities.
- Encourage a love and respect for nature, self, and the environment by participating in weekly outdoor play and gross motor movement activities.
Your role as a Montessori Teacher, Teaching Teams, and families will require that you:
- Commit to delivering high-quality early childhood education at every level, specifically the Montessori Method.
- Understand and implement culturally responsive techniques to education whenever possible.
- Prepare the classroom environment according to the Montessori Philosophy, ensuring materials and equipment are in good repair and complete.
- Plan and implement the Montessori curriculum and Amici Trilingual Montessori's enrichment curriculum, updating as student needs dictate.
- Participate in achieving and maintaining AMS membership.
- Monitor, record, and plan lessons according to each child's developmental milestones.
- Establish effective communication and relationships with families, being available for conferences and creating positive partnerships.
- Serve as the main point of contact for assistant teachers in the classroom.
- Communicate effectively with center directors.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, loving, and nurturing environment for all children.
LANGUAGE - (Must have ONE of the following)
- Fluent in Spanish
EDUCATION - (Must have the following)
Strongly desired:
- Montessori Certification: AMS or AMI Credential in Infant/Toddler.
- Extensive knowledge of the Montessori Method.
Strongly Desired:
Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
EXPERIENCE – (Must have the following)
- At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a school setting or licensed early childhood education center.
- At least 1 year of experience teaching in a Montessori classroom.
- At least one year of experience in a lead teaching role.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
