Located in the heart of North Conway, The Lilliputian School is a non-profit community school providing a unique learning environment for young children in the Mount Washington Valley for over four decades. Our program is based on outdoor activities, with children spending 2-5 hours outdoors each day. As a Floater, you will support the Teachers and the Director by creating a caring and safe environment for the children, and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. You must be able to communicate, listen, and work well with others in a team environment. This is a part-time position, with the possibility of additional hours. What You'll Do
- We need a team player to assist our teachers in the 2-3.5 and 3.5-6 year old classrooms.
- The Floater will engage children in activities, manage classroom materials, and ensure the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the classrooms.
- Responsibilities include overseeing aftercare from 3:15-4:15 PM, encouraging self-help and good hygiene, and facilitating smooth daily transitions.
- You will also be expected to maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- It is essential to follow all center policies and state regulations.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma.
- Must have or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid Training.
- Must pass a background record check.
- Ideal candidate will have at least 9 Early Childhood Credits, including human/child development.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
